here's a tutorial on how to draw and colour on photoshop elements!
now this is just one method, but there are lots more out there ofcourse
but maybe it's helpful to you
I developed this method mostly through school and it's an efficient method so if it's your cup of tea, you can use it :>

I have used elements for 5 years now and I still love it, it is my foundation hehe
I do use photoshop cs6 more now because I need to use it for professional purposes
elements is and will always be a simplified version of photoshop, so tools like the pen tool, the cmyk modus and various adjustment layers lack, tools I need in the professional life
but it still owns my soul, therefor a tutorial for you :>
and elements is just plain awesome for drawing and colouring hehe

if you have any questions, please ask!

tools used: photoshop elements 11, wacom intuos 3 tablet

Do you have any tips for the sketching bit? I don't know what settings I'm using wrong, but my brush strokes come out nowhere near where I actually put them. It could be a tablet setting, too, but I'm not sure. My tablet always seems to work fine for my friend who uses photoshop more often, so I think its a photoshop trick that I just don't know. What settings do you usually use to sketch?
